VIDEO SHOWCASE
This island is like a blank canvas, only your imagination and your budget are the limits for building your dream nest. If you like the great outdoors and rejuvenating in nature, this island is for you.
The current owners prefer to live “off-grid” in order to enjoy a complete and inclusive outdoor experience. On the other hand, it is possible to build a single-family home and a guest-house as well as to be connected to electricity.
An acquired right, transferable to future owners, allows the construction of a residential home (see the municipality for construction regulations). The topography of the land offers an interesting relief which ensures a panoramic view of the lake. Conifers, such as firs, pines and cedars, dating
back just over a century, adorn the island and provide year-round privacy, no matter the season.
Enjoy the magnificent views and breathtaking sunsets and sunrise over the surrounding mountains. Located on Lake Echo in the beautiful Laurentians region, this island is accessible 4 seasons.
To get there, three access points are available for you.
- One is via the Prevost municipal boat ramp located less than 500 feet from the shore of the island
- The second access is via the private marina located at one end of the lake. The marina has many parking spots and a boat slip that could be transferred for this retreat. It is only a 2 minute boat ride from the marina to your getaway.
- The last one is via a small notarized passage behind the island but it is only a right of passage, you would have to ask to find out if you can leave your boat there.
*Annual fees apply in both first cases.
On site, a range of outdoor activities await you:
- In summer, you will enjoy the lake, muskellunge and bass fishing, swimming and water activities such as surfing, water skiing (water ski course is installed every year) paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking and much more. Lake Echo is a semi-private navigable lake. Motorboats are permitted.
- If the weather is rainy, you can stay warm in the dome and play board games near the wood fire.
- In winter, the lake freezes quickly. You can then take advantage of the trails on the lake to practice cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, skating, ice fishing and even snowmobiling. Even alpine skiing and snow tubing is 15 minutes away!
